According to the Black Hawk County Health Department Facebook page, the Black Hawk County Board of Health unanimously adopted a mask mandate during a public hearing Wednesday. The proposed mandate will now head to the Black Hawk County supervisors for approval. According to the county health department the recommendation comes as COVID-19 continues to pose a continuing and immediate threat to the public health of Black Hawk County, Iowa residents, and visitors. They ask that everyone wear face masks in public, practice social distancing and limit social gatherings to smaller groups. They also ask that you wash your hands frequently and stay home if you are sick.
