The Waverly Health Center is reporting that they are at capacity for COVID-19 patients , according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Chief Operating Officer Heidi Solheim told the paper that they are trying to manage their staffing and 21 medical and surgical beds as a large volume of people seek coronavirus tests at its walk in clinic. She says for those that do not need immediate medical attention and just want a test to use the Test Iowa facilities although those sites have been overwhelmed as well. So far, Bremer County does not have a countywide mask mandate, a move some suggest could help stem the tide of COVID cases.
Update: The hospital is no longer at capacity as of Friday. The situation can change day to day.
