An Ottumwa man has been sentenced in a case that saw him lead police on a high speed chase in Charles City back in May, according to KIMT. 22 year old Tylor Rooney was sentenced to three to five years of probation and fined $1,500 after pleading guilty to eluding and assault on persons in certain occupations. Rooney must also stay in a residential facility over that time. Police attempted to pull Rooney’s vehicle over in Charles City on May 11th. He refused to pull over, however and led police on a chase that reached speeds of 25 miles per hour over the speed limit. Rooney eventually rammed a patrol car before losing control of his own vehicle and being captured.
