The Waverly Police Department has made an arrest of a Waterloo man on several charges. An officer executed a traffic stop on November 25th in which a substance thought to be a controlled substance could be seen in plain view. When the officer asked the driver, 41 year old Joseph Miner, to exit the vehicle, he refused. Miner had to be physically removed from which he received some injuries. He was taken to the Waverly Health Center as a precaution. Warrants were issued against him for a controlled substance violation – 5 grams of meth or more, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, failure to affix drug tax stamp, interference with official acts, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Bremer County Jail where he is being held on a $20,500 bond.
