Casino Attack Leads to Arrest

A Waterloo man has been arrested after attacking another man at the Isle Casino in Waterloo, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 44 year old Damond Williams, Sr was charged with willful injury causing serious injury. According to police Williams attacked Montana Gunhus of Evansdale around 5:00 a.m. Sunday. Gunhus had allegedly used Williams’ wife’s player’s card to spend money at the Isle. Casino staff were talking to Gunhus about the incident when Williams walked up and struck Gunhus in the head, knocking him to the ground. Williams continued to punch Gunhus in the head and torso. Gunhus was taken to the hospital with a broken jaw and cheek bone and a damaged orbital bone.
