Burglary Arrests

Waterloo Police responded to a burglary in progress in the 200 block of Gable Street on Saturday night, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. When they arrived on scene, police found two men in the home, one with a mask and the other carrying a large pole. One of the men was identified as 34 year old Joshua Hunley. He was found with a .38 caliber revolver at his feet. He is prohibited from possessing firearms due to felony convictions for theft and burglary in 2017. He resisted arrest on this occasion striking an officer in the face several times before he could be subdued. Hunley was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, domestic abuser in possession of a firearm, interference while armed, assault on a peace officer, possession of meth with intent to deliver, and carrying weapons. He was also arrested on domestic assault and operating a vehicle without owner’s consent charges in unrelated incidents. His bond has been set at $54,000.
