A Starmont teacher is facing charges after allegedly biting a student, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 49 year old Anita Smith of Edgewood allegedly rolled up the sleeve of a 16 year old student and bit them on the forearm in front of the class on March 16th. The students arm became red and began to bruise showing teeth marks. The incident was investigated by the school district, which turned its finding over to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office on March 19th. Smith has been charged with misdemeanor simple assault.
