A Waterloo man who was recently acquitted of charges related to the shooting at a private club has been indicted in a different gun related incident, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 26 year old Sir Frank Nelson III has been charged with one count of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm after a .40 caliber pistol was found in his waistband when the vehicle he was a passenger in was involved in a collision on June 28th. That gun was reported stolen out of Wylee, Arkansas in 2018. Police also found a bag of K2 synthetic marijuana in the car. Nelson was acquitted a month ago after a gun was found outside his apartment window and security video appeared to show him at the Sin City motorcycle club on West Fourth St where two people were killed and a dozen others were injured on September 26th. Nelson is also awaiting trial for tossing a 9mm handgun from a vehicle leaving the scene of a September 2018 shooting that left Diane Martin dead.
