On 5/16/21 at approximately 4:00 pm the Bremer County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a 2012 GMC Sierra pickup in the 1900 block of Highway 63. The vehicle had been reported stolen from Brooklyn Center, MN on 5/2/21. Joseph Bellvie, 58 of New Orleans, LA, was identified as the driver. Bellvie was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with 1st degree theft (C Felony), possession of a controlled substance, and driving while suspended. He remains in custody at the Bremer County Jail on a $5,000 bond. The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Denver Police Department.
