300 Fireworks Complaints in Waterloo

Waterloo Police responded to around 300 complaints about fireworks from July 3rd through the 5th, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police Chief Joel Fitzgerald said calls came in from every part of the city. 28 citations were issued with two more pending further investigation. Fines start at $375 meaning the city will receive at least $10,500 from those citations. In 2020 there was just one citation issued.
