A warm front will slowly track into the state bringing even more humid conditions and higher temperatures along with the thunderstorms. Some of the storms could bring gusty winds and heavy rain. The storms will continue Tuesday night and may linger into Wednesday.
Very hot and humid weather takes over by Wednesday. An Excessive Heat Watch is in effect for our counties for Thursday and Friday (the two hottest days of the week). Highs will be 90° or warmer over much of the area Wednesday through Saturday with dew points into the 70s. The heat index could be as high as 110° Thursday and Friday, so be very careful outside, especially later this week.
