A Waterloo man has been fined for operating an unlicensed after hours club where a shooting happened in the summer of 2020, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Montora Johnson was fined $450 on Monday. That fine is subject to a 15% surcharge plus court costs. Johnson ran a club in a former auto shop on Edwards Street where police found evidence of gambling and alcohol sales, including a price list for shots, cigarettes, and a cover charge. They also found guns and ammunition in the building. Johnson claimed that the building is where his motor company, Woochie’s World, operated and the party where the shooting happened was a private birthday party.
