Sentence for Man Who Crashed Tanker Truck Into Home

The man who crashed a stolen tanker truck into a Waterloo home has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, according to KWWL. On August 20, of 2020 26 year old Dakota Luck crashed a semi cab into a ditch at the Kwik Trip fuel blending facility on Ridgeway Avenue where he was an employee. He then got naked and stole another semi filled with biodiesel. Luck was seen pumping his fist as police tried to stop him near National Drive. He then rear-ended a beer truck before crashing into a home at 1420 Ridgeway Avenue. The resident of the home was able to escape unharmed while the rest of the neighborhood was evacuated due to the biodiesel spill. In addition to Luck’s sentence he must also pay restitution, court costs, and pay a $430 fine.
