The United Auto Workers Sunday shared details of a tentative agreement with Deere & Company. According to the deal, worker wages will increase by 30% over the next six years, which includes a cost of living adjustment. The average increase per employee comes out to $82,000 over the six year time period. New employees will also receive healthcare coverage after the first 30 days of employment. Two weeks of paid parental leave have been added and autism care and treatment will be covered. Pensions were another big point for the union. Multipliers for monthly pension payments will increase from $36 to $48 for each year of service and the pension age will drop from 62 to 60. The contract must still be approved by rank and file union members.
