AARP has named Cedar Falls one of the nine Best Places to Live and Retire Now. They noted Cedar Falls’ small town charm and access to fiber broadband through Cedar Falls Utilities. They also pointed out that the city is bike friendly and walkable with shops and restaurants filling the downtown district. The festivals, farmers markets, and activities in local parks throughout the year also helped Cedar Falls be named on the list. The other cities listed include Idaho Falls, Idaho, Jackson, Tennessee, Anderson, South Carolina, Fort Worth, Texas, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Lansing, Michigan, Provo, Utah, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
