New Sex Abuse Charge Against Police Rebranding Committee Member

A new child sex abuse charge has been filed against a man who served on the Waterloo Police Department Rebranding Committee, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The new charge alleges that 41 year old Jamodd Sallis had sexual contact with a 12 year old girl earlier this year. He is already awaiting trial for allegedly having sex with a 15 year old girl in 2020. In that case he was also charged with Violation of a No Contact Order after he Facetimed the girl just days after the judge issued the order. In October, corrections officials sought to revoke his parole for prior firearm and forgery charges. Sallis allegedly forged a doctor’s signature, spelling the doctor’s name incorrectly, on a note that claimed he was unable to fulfill a parole requirement due to a heart condition.
