Testimony has begun in a case of Sexual Abuse on the UNI campus back in 2018, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 23 year old Zachary Lindauer, of Farley, is accused of having sex with a UNI Freshman who was too drunk to consent. The woman says she had just moved into her dorm and went out drinking at the request of her roommate. While at Sharky’s she met and danced with Lindauer. At some point he walks the woman back to her dorm, as shown by video evidence. The woman says she remembers having trouble walking and then remembers Lindauer on top of her and unable to stop him. She says she does not remember anything more from the night until her roommate came home. An exam later that morning found DNA that implicated Lindauer, however he says the sex was consensual. He has pleaded not guilty to a charge of third degree Sexual Abuse.
