A teenager has been arrested for his role in a robbery in Waterloo in September according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 17 year old Alberto Quinto is accused of being one of three masked assailants who robbed William Clausen as he arrived home on September 10th. Clausen tried to run away and was shot in the thigh. The thieves took Clausen’s wallet, an Xbox, a TV, and other items from the home. During the investigation police used cell phone data to place Quinto at the scene as well as messages implicating him and SnapChat pictures of him with some of the stolen items. He has been charged with first degree Robbery and second degree Burlgary and is charged as an adult. In a separate case in October police searched Quinto’s home after they found a social media post advertising marijuana for sale. They found marijuana, a digital scale, $2,675 in cash and a 9mm handgun in the search. Quinto’s sister, 18 year old Megan Palmer threw a chair at police during that search and was arrested on Assault and Drug charges. Quinto was arrested on Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver While in Possession of a Firearm. That case was referred to juvenile court.
