There were two attempted ATM robberies at banks in Dike on Wednesday morning, according to KWWL. The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office was called to Fidelity Bank where they found the window to the door smashed in and damage to the machine. There was no entry gained to the bank, itself. The vehicle used in that attempted robbery was recovered by the Sheriff’s Office. Peoples Savings Bank also reported somebody tried to rob their ATM. The suspect or suspects in that case used a crowbar and sledge hammer to try to gain access. Nothing was reported stolen from either bank. The investigation continues.
