Charges have been added against a teen after an accomplice in an attempted robbery was killed by the victim, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 18 year old Alvonni “A.J.” Stone has been charged with first degree Burglary, Going Armed, and Use of a Weapon in the Commission of a Crime. Stone, 28 year old Diajon Stokes, and Dayton Sanders allegedly tried to rob Cedrick Smith during a synthetic marijuana deal in the parking lot of the Kwik Shop on Highway 218 in August. Sanders was struck by the gunfire, collapsed and died in the highway median. Stokes was earlier found guilty of Assault and Intent to Commit Serious Injury. Smith was charged with drug offenses.
