Traffic on Highway 63 in Bremer County had to be rerouted Tuesday after a crash claimed one person’s life. Emergency crews were called to the scene near 190th Street around 8:45 in the morning. They found that a semi driven by 33 year old Jose Agular Soto, of New Hampton, had slowed to allow another vehicle to cross the highway when a black van driven by Chad Workman, of Waterloo, rear ended the semi. Workman was killed in the collision. Agular was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
