Small Tuition Increase

Hawkeye Community College will raise its tuition next year, but it will be the smallest increase in more than a decade, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. President Todd Holcomb presented a 1.2% increase to the board of trustees on Tuesday. The increase will raise tuition by $2.50 per credit hour for a total of $210. An in state student taking 12 credit hours, a typical full time load, would pay $2,520 in tuition and fees per term. The board also approved a $75.7 million budget for the next school year.
