NYC Man Arrested in Waterloo

A man from the Bronx has been arrested for Theft and Identity Theft after visiting two banks in Waterloo and Cedar Falls, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 60 year old Vincent Herbert was arrested on Wednesday. Police say he entered the Regions Bank on West Ridgeway and presented a Tennessee driver’s license with a different name. He was able to withdraw $5,000 from that account. He later visited the Regions Bank on University Avenue and presented a different Tennessee driver’s license with a different name. Employees became suspicious and alerted police. Herbert did not have the cash from the earlier withdrawal when police detained him, however. Herbert has arrest warrants for similar crimes in Indiana and Florida.
