The Chief of Police in Fairbank has passed away. Mike Everding reportedly lost his battle with cancer over the weekend. He had been with the Fairbank Police since June 8, 2020 and had been the Chief since July of that year. He also served as a Deputy Sheriff for the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. He was also an avid fisherman. Among those he leaves behind is his wife, Tammy.
