A man found guilty of murder in Charles City has had an appeal based on the racial makeup of his jury dismissed by the Iowa Supreme Court, according to KIMT. Antoine Williams was found guilty of the Murder of Nathaniel Fleming in Charles City on June 30, of 2017. Police say an argument between the two led to gunfire. Williams was sentenced to 50 years in prison on December 8, of 2017. He argued in his appeal that his jury did not have enough African-Americans. The Iowa Supreme Court rejected that argument, however.
