The City of Cedar Falls is moving towards allowing fireworks, according to KWWL. The first reading of a proposed ordinance was passed on Monday. The ordinance would allow fireworks during certain hours from July 3rd to July 5th. Mayor Rob Green says that a change was needed because the total ban on fireworks had not been effective. The time frame they would be legal would line up with Waterloo’s window. There will be two more readings of the ordinance, the next being at the City Council meeting on May 16th.
