A Waterloo man has been arrested for allegedly dousing a house turned apartment building with gasoline, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police were called to the building on West Mullan Street around 8pm on July 4th. When they arrived they found a rug on the front porch that was soaked in gasoline. The shared entryway also smelled strongly of gasoline. An empty gas can was found nearby. Neighbors reported hearing 35 year old Cody Scribner say he hoped they had insurance because he was going to burn the place down. Scribner has been charged with first degree Arson. No fire was started.
