Former Nashua Man Accused of Trapping Woman for Weeks for Sex

A former Nashua man has been arrested for allegedly holding a woman against her will for several weeks and forcing her to have sex with him, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 36 year old Christopher Rumachik was arrested on Tuesday and charged with False Imprisonment, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, and third degree Sexual Abuse. Police searched his home in Waterloo on Tuesday where they found a woman who told police Rumachik refused to let her leave and forced her to have sex with him. Rumachik allegedly assaulted the woman when she didn’t do what he wanted, including pepper spraying her when she attempted to leave. Police say the two were acquaintances. Rumachik was also arrested for an incident on June 10th when Cedar Falls police found methamphetamine in his car. He is also awaiting trial for a June 20th incident in which he stole Monster energy drinks and $70 worth of whey from the Waterloo Hy-Vee. He also allegedly used a slingshot to break windows at David’s Taphouse and Dumplings in Cedar Falls on June 9th.
