Two Charles City parents charged after their baby was found to have severe injuries have pleaded not guilty, according to KIMT. 22 year old Ezekiel Larson and 19 year old Madison Geerts have both been charged with Child Endangerment Causing Serious Injury. Larson was the lone person taking care of their four month old son when the boy suffered a severe head injury on September 6th. Geerts allegedly knew the boy had been severely injured but did not get him medical care until four days later despite the fact the baby was vomiting and was not eating or sleeping during that time. Larson has waived his right to a speedy trial and so no trial date has been set for him. Geerts will go to trial on December 20th.
