A Tripoli man has won a $25,000 lottery prize. 43 year old Jason Thoren bought a “The Perfect Gift” scratch ticket at a Casey’s store in Britt. Thoren says the cashier asked him if he felt lucky, to which he responded with, “No, not really.” Thoren is a truck driver and said he played the ticket as soon as he got back to his truck. He said when he uncovered the top prize he felt shock, disbelief, and then overwhelming excitement. He plans to save most of his winnings, but will use a portion to pay off a maintenance bill from his semi and to buy lunch for the Casey’s store employees. The Perfect Gift is a $20 scratch game that features 13 top prizes of $25,000.
