A Floyd man has been sentenced to life in prison for breaking into a woman’s home, holding her captive, and raping and beating her, according to KIMT. The woman was finally able to escape when a friend showed up to the house. 62 year old Rodney McCarty then fled the scene in his car. Not long later he hit a horse and buggy before fleeing that scene as well. He would eventually be found unconscious and naked behind the wheel of his vehicle and could not stand or speak due to intoxication.
