Construction at Waverly Child Care and Preschool is ongoing in an effort to be able to care for more children. They already serve up to 400 children a year but complaints from area businesses have consistently included that the lack of child care options prevented young professionals from moving to the area. The addition to the current building will allow for an additional 300 children to be cared for. The expansion will include six new classrooms, an additional multipurpose room, storage room, conference room, kitchen enhancements and a larger parking area. The project is expected to be completed by September of 2023.
