Iowa Senator and New Hartford resident Chuck Grassley is scheduled to have surgery, according to KIMT. The 89 year old reportedly hurt his hip, which has led to the surgery. He is described as being otherwise in good spirits and expected to make a full recovery. Grassley was re-elected to his eighth term in the US Senate in November. He is currently the longest serving Senator.
