Cedar Falls Police arrested a man after he ran from a possible Domestic Assault. A 911 caller reported the potential domestic assault inside a moving vehicle Sunday. Officers located the vehicle at the intersection of 1st Street and Clay Street. During the investigation, a male occupant fled on foot. During the pursuit police say the man, identified as Shaquan Coffer, discarded what turned out to be a stolen firearm. Coffer was eventually captured. He has been charged with Felon in Control of a Firearm, Interference with Official Acts While Possessing a Firearm, 3rd degree Theft, and Possession of a Firearm While Under the Influence.
