A Charles City man will go to trial for allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home, according to KIMT. 29 year old Luis Gonzalez Herrera entered a not guilty plea to first degree Burglary, Domestic Assault-2nd offense, and fourth degree Criminal Mischief. Gonzalez Herrera allegedly broke down a locked and dead-bolted side door at his ex-girlfriend’s home on April 12th. He then is accused of pushing, hitting, and grabbing the woman before throwing her cell phone on the ground and stomping on it. He will go to trial on July 11th.
