Not-Guilty Plea in Meth Case

A Charles City man has pleaded not guilty to Possession With Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, according to KIMT. 38 year old Derik Evans was pulled over on December 4th by a Floyd County Deputy because his taillights were not working. A check of Evans’ driver’s license found it to not be valid. The deputy found reasonable suspicion that Evans was involved in drug activity and a K9 was brought in. The K9 indicated drugs were inside the vehicle leading to the discovery of about 29 grams of meth. Evans will go to trial on June 13th.
