Beginning in June the City of Waverly will implement a 10% sewer rate increase. The city says the increase is necessary to cover the cost of the Water Pollution Control Facility project that began construction in 2021. There will also be a 3% water rate increase due to inflation. The only residential garbage charges scheduled to change this year is for the 95-gallon can which will now be $35.67 a month.
