A crash on Highway 3 near Allison on Friday has killed a Greene man. 64 year old Paul Yerkes was traveling westbound on Highway 3 when he, according to the Iowa State Patrol, entered the eastbound land and struck a semi driven by 41 year old Timothy Grittmann of Allison. Yerkes died at the scene. Grittmann was taken to the Waverly Health Center for treatment of his injuries. Yerkes’ body was taken to the State Examiner’s Office. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
