A man wanted for breaking into a home in Westgate was taken into custody near Denver last Wednesday. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says that homeowners witnessed the burglary of their own home on surveillance video and called 911. Deputies identified the perpetrator in the video as 42 year old Cory Billingsley of Oelwein. A short time later, a Bremer County Deputy stopped Billingsley north of Denver. He was arrested and charged with 2nd degree Burglary. If convicted he faces up to 10 years in prison.
