A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Fredericksburg Tuesday. The Iowa State Patrol says that 85 year old Edmund Emerson of Cedar Rapids was driving eastbound on Highway 18 around 4:45 .p.m when he hit 78 year old Jerome Leach of Fredericksburg west of Falcon Drive. Leach died from his injuries. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
