Flirts Gentlemen’s Club in Waterloo has been denied a liquor license, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The Waterloo City Council voted 5-0 to deny the renewal of the license. One of the reasons for the denial was the amount of times police had been called to the location. Captain Jason Feaker reported that they have been called to Flirts’ block 71 times since June of 2022. The council has denied liquor licenses before but most of those cases have been successfully appealed. If Flirts appeals this decision, they will be able to continue selling alcohol until the appeal process comes to a close.
