The Waverly Police Department has added a new officer. Traeton Kaufman took the Oath of Office yesterday. Kaufman is a graduate of Wapsie Valley High School. He got his degree in Police Science from Hawkeye Community College. He started the Waverly PD Field Training program on Monday and will attend the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy later this month.
