Waterloo Man Took Plea Deal in Gun Charge

A Waterloo man has taken a plea deal after police found a .40 caliber handgun that had a switch capable of allowing the gun to fire fully automatic, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 38 year old Coolishun Moody has pleaded to one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm. He was prohibited from handling firearms due to prior felony convictions for drugs, theft, and fleeing from police in Minnesota in 2007 and 2008. On June 13th of 2021 Moody was pulled over just before 1:30am. Police found the gun under the rear seat of the vehicle. A month earlier police had found two handguns in his hotel room. Moody faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced at a later date.
