Two houses were hit by gunfire overnight Wednesday in Waterloo, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Sheriff’s deputies heard gunshots in the area of Vinton Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. They found several spent shell casings before finding damage to 724 Vinton Street, which has been a frequent target of gunfire. Bullets also struck a rear glass door at a house at 424 Florence Avenue. No injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made.
