The Black Hawk County Sheriff says he will not seek a fifth term, according to KWWL. Tony Thompson says he is making this announcement now to allow for potential candidates to begin campaigning for the position. He says he is justifiably proud of all that was accomplished as an organization during his four terms in charge. Thompson will focus on time with his family, who he says have paid the price for his more than 30 years in public service.
