A fire destroyed a detached garage in Waterloo on Sunday morning, according to KWWL. Fire crews were called to the 800 block of Newton Street around 5:15 a.m. Although there were concerns the fire would spread from the garage to the house, crews were able to contain the blaze. A motorcycle and other contents of the garage were destroyed. The cause of the fire remains under investigation but it is believed to have been sparked by an electrical malfunction.
