The North Carolina woman who stole another person’s identity to cash checks at local banks has been sentenced, according to KIMT. 50 year old Gloria Pantelis, of Thomasville, North Carolina, stole personal identification documents from a vehicle parked at George Wyth State Park in Waterloo in last October. She then used those documents to cash checks at First Bank branches in Waverly, Plainfield, and Cedar Falls in February. She was charged with second degree Theft, Forgery, and Identity Theft. She has now been sentenced to up to five years in prison.
