A Waterloo teen who tried to run from police on Monday was found to be carrying a stolen gun with an extended magazine, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police were called to the 300 block of E. Mullan Avenue around 10pm Monday for a disturbance. When they arrived on scene, 18 year old Jaquailyn Thomas took off running. He was tackled to the ground shortly there after. Officers found a loaded 9mm Glock in his waistband. The gun was confirmed to have been stolen. Thomas was charged with Carrying Weapons, Interference While Armed and fifth degree Theft. He is already awaiting trial for allegedly breaking a girl’s jaw in October of 2022. He also was involved in a shootout in July where his vehicle was damaged by gunfire. 31 spent shell casings were found inside his vehicle.
