Not-Guilty Plea in Meth Case

A Charles City man is pleading not guilty after he was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine during a traffic stop, according to KIMT. 54 year old Mitchell King was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for defective muffler in Osage on August 5th. Investigators say there was assorted drug paraphernalia in plain sight in the vehicle and a K9 indicated the presence of illegal drugs. A backpack belonging to King had inside 110 grams of meth, a scale with meth residue, packaging material, and $572 in cash. King will go to trial on January 31st.
