Strip Club & City Agree to Terms

Flirts Gentlemen’s club and the city of Waterloo have come to an agreement after the strip club was deemed a public nuisance, accordign to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Flirts was placed on reduced hours in October after shootings and fights continued to happen at the establishment. After a December hearing an agreement was struck to allow the club to fully reopen. They must install a walk-through metal detector to be used after 9pm and must post signs declaring Flirts a weapons free area. They will also have to keep surveillance videos for 30 days. Staff must take de-escalation training and people who have engaged in violent behavior around the property must be denied entry. Staff must also deny entry to anyone 30 minutes before closing and anyone under the influence.
